what do u think will b easier ?
preouts onto original head unit or building new unit out of existing radio ?
Preouts to the existing stereo would probably be easier and look better:)

I was gunna fill the holes with body filler and cover with something not sure what.. try and get some vinal to match the existing beezer interior...
Or just sod that and add preouts...
Pete I've not got a beezer or the behind radio bit is the radio part separate from the rest of the control electroniccs?

Peice of piss mate... mounting the rear screens is a bit of work cause you need to mount them in the back of the seats or something but sat nav is just a gps box cdrom + screen. Oh and there might be a speed sensor to fit on most systems too..
The biggest job you face is getting the head unit in...

The headunit in itself will drive its screen and have input for Say Nav, to add extra screens you'll also need an auxilery AV control box. Alpine do them for their range, im sure others do them too.
It basically like a hub or junction box to add extra screens and AV devices.
Hide it away behind the dash, or under the seats somewhere, once its all wired up you dont need to access it as all the control can come from the headunit.
Adding a switching box, will allow the screens to do different tasks
One could be showing a film, the other displaying Sat Nav info and one maybe for Playstation in car gaming :) All able to be switched round to display different things.
right that is the first job then fit a sat nav in the front with cd and maybe dvd with 2 head rest screen and amp and fit new componants front and back for clarity

Pioneer also do a small box that allows you to control the input to a screen. You put this before the screen and feed the inputs to it and then you can select the outputs via a seletor switch..

Oh and some manufacturers now do DVD navigation systems that can play movies as well as be used for navigation, although not at the same time obviously..

how much are they Pete..............but would i need that if i have a ps2 of shall i be the first to have a games cube or x box
why can't this be like home cinema .........i know where i am with that........can i have dolby ES in my car:)

You can have Dolby Digital and DTS but not EX (yet) is is on the ay though....
THe pioneer box was about £100 I think... If you meant the nav DVD system I don't know. Never looked at the prices because I can read a map..:p :p :p You don't need DVD nav if you have a PS2 as this will do DVD playback. Bear in mind though that the PS2 is only any good whilst stationary, it's got no shock protection in it at all so I doubt with your lowered suspension you'd be able to watch a movie on the move..

Ahh but has anybody checked the mounting depth behind the ibiza front panel? I'm not sure if the head unit in my pics will go back too deeply?? Possibly foul on the heater controls?
I need ibiza radio bit from behind the dash... roly???:)
im workin on it, just havin a bit of a shitty day 2 day.
let u know more when i find out more.
