Seat Cars Direct for '04 Ibiza'a

Ok, so it's for the missus, just wanted to say that I did a fair bit of shopping around but ended up using the 'seat-cars-direct' link on this site.

I was after a new Ibiza 1.2 for the wife in extreme blue and wanted the SX version. Appears they can sell all SX's at top book price, they wanted 1st and 2nd choice colours at two dealers for the SX.:mad:

So went with the 1.2S, got a call from a main UK dealer who offered me a 1.2S 5door brand new in Met.Eclipse Blue for £8375.00 which I think is a good offer.

Why are they asking for 1st and 2nd choice colours?

If it was me I'd be saying Extreme Blue and Extreme Blue.

Have you tried speaking to What Car to see if they know a dealer who would sell you a 1.2 SX, in Extreme Blue, for the Target Price?

What-car don't list the Sx as it's a special edition with 'free' equipment. I have been told by 2 delaers the Sx is only available until 31st March 2004 and they have a limited number available in the UK. Both dealers wanted full price for the cars. They don't have extreme blue in the 5 door.

So I changed tack and went for the 1.2s which I could get a deal on and got £25 below the Whatcar target price and metallic paint (eclipse blue) instead.

Good point about limited numbers, didn't think of that (this lazy student just got up!)

I have to say, you'll probably love Eclipse blue more! All you need is some alloys (which I am selling in the next few weeks! ;))

That's what I wanted but the dealers are shifting them like hot cakes and have limited numbers left, they wanted £8,900 for a five door SX and won't drop the prices hardly at all, Whatcar don't list the Sx and a couple of dealers said about colour choice being restricted on the last available Sx cars.

That's why I switched to the 1.2S as it's £525 cheaper and I get metallic paint thrown in, just none of the 'free Sx stuff'.

Not a bad deal just not the free Sx stuff as well which would have been nice.

got ma new 04 ibiza for £7999 (before extras) from seat garage - got it pre-reg which knocked off a grand or so :bleh:


a new black ibiza 1.2S WITH reverse parking sensor will be on the road from next week!!!
