We have a SEAT LEON FR 2.0 TGI DSG chipped to 300BHP. Candy White 10K
Are you sure about that?
You will be the first people to manage 300BHP from only a map on a TDI Leon.
Can you please post logs and Rolling Road graphs to show the 300BHP.

what "chip" has been used ? surely this effects the ecu warranty with it being opened up?
most cars are remapped.
what sort of diesel mpg will you get with it being 300 bhp? will it be a negative thing as diesels suppossed to be economical?
what sort of warranty will it have a SEAT or just dealer?
It's all gone quiet, tho in his listing he put tgi n not tdi, strange
all i know is he doesnt live up to his user name !:lol:

sorry its a re- map and its tsi,
But the K03 turbo will not give you 300bhp from a map alone on the 2.0 TFSI engine. Can you please confirm the mods you have added to get 300bhp from the K03?

i thought that the k03 flowed max 280ish anyway?

Not sure of the figures but do know you need the K04 from the Cupra to be in the region of 300bhp from a stage 1 map only.
Given that thecar being discussed is an FR with DSG, it will not of come from Seat with a K04 and therefore will not see those numbers without further work.
Seatguru, what's the score with the vehicle?

Ok, sorry about the delay getting back to you all I will have to apologise to everyone for the confusion that I seem to have created. I’m only a salesman and therefore have no technical expertise in the subject of ‘modding’ (or mechanics in general).
Were rarely in the business of retailing vehicles that have been upgraded but came about this one and are trying to sell it as it stands rather than putting it back to its original spec.
It has had (and I’m only paraphrasing here so if it isn’t 100% correct terminology I apologise in advance)
· A stage 1 re-map,
· Piper cams and exhaust (inc CAT)
· JBS induction kit
I hope this makes more sense to you than it does to me. We have all the original parts so if the person who purchases the FR would like it, as it should be from the factory that is possible also.
I hope that clears most of the questions up and I don’t have any ‘rolling road’ figures but I’m assured that the work that’s been done to the FR would create around 300 BHP, if it doesn’t then its because I have misinformation (however I should have checked before posting on here, not to worry, lesson learnt).

You were very precise though stating "Chipped to 300BHP". What if its only 290bhp? That could be seen as mis-leading the buyer. Something salesmen never do
its not going to be near the 300 , the k03 flows 280 max so wont matter if its got cams or not
a remap is not going to see it anyway near the 300 , a cupra only just manages 300 with a remap !
maybe a readvertisement would be better ?
what warranty is being offered with the car? is there a remainder of the original SEAT warranty? which intheory is now void with these mods having been added?
i thought a salesmans job was to know all the particulars of the vehicle they were selling ?

I am a new car salesman, I told are used car sales manager that there are quite a few people on this forum who like upgrading there SEAT’s and was asked politely to put this vehicle on the forum because it may have been of interest.
After the first few comment’s I asked him to clarify what ‘chipped’ meant, which is when he went into detail about the ‘mods’ that have been carried out.
In last post I apologised for the mistake I have made by posting 300BHP without finding out the whole facts about the FR, however due to having little experience in this field it was, or seems to me to be a easy mistake to make and I thank you for your comments that have put it right. Now that I know that FR’s and Cupra’s have different turbos it has meant that I will be more informed when someone asks me about the differences in the future although with the Cupra being discontinued maybe my last statement is questionable.
I’ve admitted that ‘modding’ isn’t my area of expertise and I apologise if I have offended anyone by making a false claim (have changed the advert now).
I never intentionally mislead people who come into the dealership, if there is something I don’t know I endeavour to find out if that doesn’t sit right with me then I will ask more questions until the client is satisfied with the answer.
I don’t claim to know everything, but I will find answers to questions asked and if I make a mistake then I am more than happy to raise a hand and put right my wrong.
Safe to say I think the new plan will be to revert it to its original state and retail it with a 3 years insurance backed warranty. Unless of course someone is interested in a 280ish but not guaranteed Leon FR 2.0 TSI DSG?:D
to seat guru
thank for that post it tickled me :D
we are just pulling your leg mate , we know that it wont be the car you advertised its a bit like when theres a misprint or mis quote in the press.
unfortunatley thats what happens when experts read posts lol lol
