1.4 Woe's..Rough.

Got a little vid of the 1.4 16 valve engine in my leon...Sounding like a diesel more and more:(.

Oil's at good level and fresh...
Coolant's nice and pink
Spark plug's are a hint white on the 3 point's around the electrode.

Yet it sound's like a diesel.

been recently serviced with 10w40 oil..Sound's exact same as before. .

Anyone help diagnose? Anyone with vagcom near Aberdeen that could maybe help aswell

I think the 1.4 16v engine is quite a rough engine anyway tbh. Here is the sound of my old 1.4 16v 100hp in my old ibiza

Mines ran fine without any odd noises, knocks or drinking oil etc. I know this does'nt really help, but thought i would just post this video up to give you a bit of an idea of what the engine should sound like.

That's piston-slap, occurred alot on the earlier leons and ibizas - the cure when the issue was covered by warranty - new pistons and cylinder block.
