Morning,
Question for the experts....
Basically, I sold my single-mass G60 Flywheel & VR6 Clutch from my MK3 Ibiza 1.8T to my friend with a Passat 1.8T.
We set out to fit it yesterday evening, upon removal of the gearbox we found that the single-mass flywheel fitted straight on, but the VR6 clutch friction plate wouldn't fit due to the gearbox input shaft being different from the gearbox on my Ibiza.
We think we have come up with a solution, but want to hear what you guys think.
We are thinking of purchasing a new friction plate for the dual-mass flywheel then using the VR6 clutch pressure plate.
Would this work?
We know the clutch may be very direct, as the friction plate designed for the dual mass flywheel isn't damped but he isnt too concerned about this.
Thanks!
