Right guys I'm looking for a BIG Seat S badge. Either one from the front grille or if anyone has smoothed the rear of their new beeza then the boot handle/badge will do. Anyone got one spare?
Pete

Pete all the people who have meshed grills should have one i have i know so i will dig it out and let you know.

Come on own up!!! Who taut the monkey how to use cut & paste??? :p :p :p
I'll give you a clue... think shiney genesis amps, colour coded fibreglass ( like the Alpine M3 ) and some nice black capet in between....
Pete
sounded nice till you said carpet use alcantara instead.

Unless you know where to get it for less than £80 per m then I'll stick with carpet thanks... Then again I might use leather, it's cheaper than alcantera...
Pete
My last car was all covered in alcantra!, you could have had al the door inserts, armrest and all the seats out of it!!, but its gone now

I was going to do some of the dash as well in it but then I saw the prices...
Pete
where are the prices/website
serious did you actually put the alcantara in yourself on purpose

Don't think the interior from that would fit in a cordy.... hehehe
I haven't found anywhere that sells it on line... Any one else seen it?
Pete
No, it came as standard!!, it was cirtoens flagship model at the time costing £29,600 !!!, and came as standard with it, company car tax was ridiculous!!
Was the ZM the boat thing cause i was think of the zx.......29600 i would never pay for any Citroen.
Boat thing???
It was a seriously nice car!!, and had a s**tload of gadgets inside!!:D , it even had an electric centre armrest in case you were too lazy to move it yourself!!:D
And very few people payed the list price, most were sold as ex demonstrators for 10k less than list!, thats how i got mine, there were only 26 of the flagship models ever sold in the uk because of the price
it still looked like a speed boat
Oh, i see!!, yeah it was a bit boat like in the looks department, but i bought it because of its interior comfort and lack of road noise!, it was a serious mile muncher:D
I'm driving around in a hyundai coupe f something or other for a few days till my coil arrives and its pants!!, its like driving around in a baked bean tin!!:D
i feel for you.........seriously i do i am having to drive round in 5 door cordoba on a N plate........its got about 790000000 miles on it no electrics and no radiio...........oh and all the bodywork is falling off...............absolute quality mate
well, the cordoba is probably ok for the amount of miles you have to drive, but i drive at least 1000 miles per week and need a comfortable car!!, your cordy is a darn sight more comfortable to sit in and drive than this hyundai crap mobile!!, i'd swap with ya for a few days but its not mine to lend out!
WHOAAAWW THERE BOY ..........I DRIVE ABOUT 700 MILES A WEEK SO DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!...........
and believe me it's not comfortable....... oh and its a oil burner

There's nothing wrong with 4 door Cordys..... Then again mine was a GTI so it went like stink and had comfy sports seats...
Pete
Why dont you get something more comfy then?, i was under the impression from other cordy owners that they were quite comfortable
Unfortunately.............my car is away at present otherwise my arse would be sitting on some very nice leather covered Targa recliners

Pete, I think your boot build plans are the same as mine, if they include a large Seat S badge that is.
When are you doing the build, would be good to see what it looked like once finished and trimmed.

I should be starting in the next week or so, but I doubt it'll be finished much before Donny, It always thakes me forever to do my own installs...
Pete
Pete its a pity cause i bought leather from donny last year for £30 for about a bulls worth.

I know... I might finish everything but the leather trimming and then try and get some at the show and then finish the install there....

Yeah most of the install I'm planning on being fibre glass in the same colour as the car.. The boot floor will definatley be carpet but I might do some highlights in leather to brake up the glass..
Pete
How do you get the fibre glas so smooth by sanding it.
Icecavern
05-02-2002, 13:34
Yeah that's why it takes so long, fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - Prime - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand - fill - sand......

But worth every minute if you end up with something like this....
Pete
so is it not hollow then........i may be being stupid here sorry
Icecavern
05-02-2002, 13:59
Is what not hollow?
Pete
Icecavern
05-02-2002, 14:04
That depends, fibre glass is basically any shape you make it. Normally it's hollow in the acse of sub enclosures to give you an air space for the subs..
My install is probably going to be made of mdf/ply with all the trim panels made in fibreglas to make it look nice...
Oh and this is a better pic...

You moan about a Hyundai Coupé F2...?? Man you should try driving a proper 'loan' car..!! like a 1.4 Ibiza S.. they are sh*te..!!
My Bro use to have the Coupé and it was actually quite a nice car.. drive pretty well, and had a fair bit of poke. Didn't have the torque that a Cupra has though.. but to be expected from a N/A car.
Have you seen thenew Coupé..?? top of the range one hasa 2.7l V6 I believe... made to look like a Ferarri so they say... not bad car for the price..
Give the F2 a good hammering though fella.. they love a good hammering.. plus it aint your car.. so what do you care.. :) lol

Na, that's not up to my standards.... :D :D :D :D
Actually.... It looks great but if you knew how it was built you'd realise that it's not as much work as it seems they put in. The fibreglass panels have mdf boxes behind them...
Cheers Brendy, I did have one somewhere from the front of my Cordy but I can't find it anywhere....
Pete
