View Full Version : my updated pics
just a quick question i have lowerd the car with a kit not just springs but i still think the front is to high any way to drop it a little
if any I'd say your rear was too low.
you want it to be level if possible
what kit is it?
its all personally selected bits
what did you personally select then?
sorry - you misunderstand!
I meant the suspension kit....
oh ok sorry its a g-max kit
unfortunately g-max kit is just like this
MikeTDI (aka Mike20VT aka KITS_WRC_IBIZA) had one on his mk2 a few years ago and it sat in a sit up and beg like yours
if you can, id take it back and get a refund
its badly bodged vw spec bits put together, incorrectly weighted springs etc
sorry dood
:(
could i not get some front lowering springs
yes, but the back will still drag on the floor & the dampers will still be wrong.
the backs fine i just want to drop the front to match
no - it looks *too* low - so i'd guess the springs are way soft, and it's riding on the bump stops.
pic to pic - mines down 60mm & yours is far lower....
hate to argue the toss over it - but it's a poor quality kit - but priced at the right price.
if you have it wonky - like you do the braking will be all over the place.
if you have it too low & on the bump stops (like you do) it'll handle appaullingly when you need it most.
I don't like your rear spoiler.

Thumbs up mate!!! its looking good!!!
Now here's the bad news - i guess its not a 16v cupra sport!!!! BUT every idiot in a hot hatch will wanna peice of you! this is happening to me in my green machine!! great fun at 1st but it really does get on ur tits in the end!!
get the front end - suspension sorted out and it will look wicked!!! oh i also like the rear spoiler - looks like the f2 one!!! :worship:
You could always hacksaw a couple of coils from the front springs
It'll look the part, but I cannot guarantee it'll handle well!
I think Dean did this to his old clio, no idea what it was like though
man im telling u if they try to rev and race me @ the lights il rev but then il pull away @ a nice easy speed and get great joy as the twat drives into the sun set @ 90 mph and oh yeh my cousin said that u could heat the front springs and compress them dunno if any ones tryed this but he also said that they might snap as well and i have a f2 spoiler but i liked the one i got on there better as i found the f2 sat too high in the air
You'd have to get the springs DAMN hot to compress them! Do you have a furnace handy?

TEETH, nice choice in alloys !! one wee tip though, next time you get new tyres ask for them to put the sticky weights on as they are put on the inside of the rim, the ones currently on yours are damaging the paintwork and will eventually look naff not to mention cost you to put right.
