Hey all!
Have recently been told by one of the boys at the dealer that he thinks my beeza cupra has been remapped. Is there an easy way that i can find out if this is true and what exactly has been done? Have seen you guys talking about Revo'd and jabba (not really knowing what this is! LOL) and wondered if this is whats been done to mine!

erm - he might have guessed if it's faster than stock
or it's had the ECU out
or he's just bluffing.

Not quite, bought it 6 months old, the same bloke told me that it was the garage owners ex car but it would be nice to know if it's definately chipped. spose i could stick it on a rolling road cause it does feel quicker than other ones i've driven. Was kinda hoping i could tell by just looking at some thing!
what was the dealer that originally owned it?

Ye get it on the rollers, 30sec, and £20 job done... :thumbup:

Never used them myself but was going to get them to do my REVO (went somewhere closer in the end).
Why not spend the cash that would be spent on the RR on a boost guage then whether its chipped or not you have gained a boost guage out of it as well.

Very good point, i've thought about getting one anyway, spose thats a good excuse to shell the cash and get one. Any ideas where i can get a door pillar with a pod nice and cheap??

Standard should be 7-8psi max, chipped could be anything between 15 and 22psi max. Revo is about 20 psi.

If your getting it done in Norwich i would personally go to S.C.A Race and Rally on the sweetbriar industrial estate.These have a good reputation an even though ive never put my cupra on the rolling road ive heard the prices to do so are competitive.
Did you buy it from castlegate Seat? is it yellow? may be the one i test drove only to let some bloke from southampton take it from under my nose :(

Yes mate i live just outside of Norwich city centre ( Thorpe Marroitt),im always driving around so probably was me you saw!! to be honest i aint seen another red ibiza cupra! Are you from Norwich mate?
