View Full Version : *** 1.8T to 2.0T Coil Pack Coversion Kits ***

Good day Gents,
Doing a few of these for local enthusiast as well as some folks over on various forums around. Wondering how many of you in here would be interested?

We can work out DHL fixed shipping pouches @ $35 CAD .

Just so we have pretty much everyone covered , 2 versions will be done:

V1.1 - for use with ECS coil pack holders.

Going to try and see if I can make these this week. They will be around $50 CAD but I wont know for sure until I price out the operations and procedures.Whatever the case I have the following people down:

(4) Antoinebourdeau - V1.2

Danny / anyone here want to take the flag for a group buy to sort out shipping cheaper? I am just doing this to help local peeps and if SCN members can benefit then why not :D

Interesting, so the 2.0T coilpacks produce a hotter spark allowing for a larger plug gap, bigger spark, more power? Are the 2.0T coilpacks more reliable than the 1.8T ones?

I have not changed a set in the GTI but its still a MKV so faily newi*ish* , but I would say yes they seem to be more reliable.

Do these adapters hold the coilpack down or do they just fill a gap?

They just fill the gap. They will be machined in such a way to provide a snug fit for the 2.0 coils.
