I was looking in the leon section and they can get various bits of information up by pressing varous buttons on the climate control consul. Is there anything like this that you can do on the ibiza cc consul all I can do is change from deg c to deg F any Ideas.

Yes, I've seen this before - I think you can do various tricks on most VAG group cars with Climatronic, but can't remember much about it or how you do it.

Do a search - it's been discussed somewhere before, try searching on "climatronic" that should point you in the right direction....

The procedure in the new Ibiza is the following:
Turn on the recirculation.
Then press simultaneously the five central buttons of the climatronic: Auto, Econ and the three arrows. You can scroll through 52 codes using the temp knob. However I have no idea what each code stands for!!

The Mk4 Ibiza doesn't match up to the Leon list - for a start there are a few less readings (about 50 IIRC).

Anyone know of a list for the Mk4 Ibiza ?
It might be useful to diagnose what causes the erratic fan behaviour in the summer (detailed in another thread).

I didn't understand whether you wanted the exact "keys" to punch...
Well it's like that

Air recirculation activated
Press TOGETHER: AUTO+air up+air middle+air down+ECON (they are the 5 middle buttons)

then you can see every one of 52 readings (don't know what's what yet) with the temp adjusting rotating button

with love from Greece www.ibiza.gr

Pmag, How did you pay for your Fr front vent's? Ive been told by my local stealer that the standard sloted type are about £5 each but the Fr honeycomb style are £25 each!! Is this correct??

Is there a way of doing it on MkIII Ibiza's with climate control?

I cannot seem to do any tricks on my SEAT MK3 IBIZA LCD Display (like change temperature Display from F to C) and things like that.

I have no air con in the car just the basic recirc button, fan + and - (up to 6 speed) buttons and Hot and Cold Buttons.

Any Ideas how to go into secret mode on my cars display or the diagnostic bit?

Thanks,

Andy.

Funny enough only today after 4 years of owning the car I was fiddling and found I can program 4 sound settings or linear sound on the radio by pressing the Bass or treble button and then immediately pressing one of the preset station buttons. - I have never recalled reading this in the supplied radio's instruction booklet before!

Then Id say this isnt the right thread...

Oh and there is something wrong with your car :p

How old is it? The air con unit might need regassing, when you start the car does the air con unit flash?

yeah it flashes for a few seconds before starting, is that bad??

Also no idea what the numbers stand for  Gonna try talking to my dealer tomorrow!
I think #8 is something like temp of air flowing out of the vents, and #5 seems to be a front bumper or underbonnet ambient temp sensor... I couldn't find anything for speed or rpm.

Hi Guys

My air con is playing up.
I had it re gassed about 10 months ago and since then it has been going down hill.
When Seat Dealer re gassed it they put dye in it and have since found a leak on one of the pipes coming from Compressor to radiator. Leak was from under the p clip. saw dye bubbling out.
Thought this is it.
Got new Pipe and fitted it and regassed. aircon still not cold.
Took car back to seat dealer to have codes on dianostic computer checked out , said all the flaps as in the air directions buttons work but wanted to re gas as thought this was problem.
I had oil changed in may this year and stupid garage put floor pan cover thingy back on wrong, if this was stuck in smaller of Fans on Radiator would this cause air con compressor too fail ? or would a pressure switch fail to protect it? checked fuses on drivers side panel ones for climate control and cooling fan in cabin look okay and stop circuits working if removed.

After reading some of the posts above regarding the 5 button press looks like you don't have to press the re circ button first.

Does anyone know if they have a small spanner symbol displayed when in this diag mode?

I can control the fan / flaps when in this mode by turning the fan speed control and each button in turn.

Pressing the Econ Button returns it to normal mode.

Hope anyone can help with my problem aircon as I'm baffled???
