View Full Version : Arosa Cupra
Currently driving an Arosa 1.4 16V which is in some need of a kick up the arse to make it go that little bit faster.
What do you reckon Turbo or Super Charger? Let me know.
TSR have done some Lupo's with a VR6
goes in straight lines well I hear.

you arnt impressed and happy with 100 bhp in your arosa?????? how about chip and cams, a lot cheaper than T or S chargers, and will give you a nice little return for your money, or on the other hand, to be honest, i dont think an arosa could handle a lot more power, im trying to imagine your car with my 2.0 16v engine in it, scarey, dont think it would handle the extra ponies. when you feel its time to get another car mate, what about an ibiza or cordoba 2.0 16v.
dont get me wrong, id love to have an arosa for a few days to see what it could do, i like the wee cars, have caracter!! :)
I once drove an Fiat Seicento Sporting. This car was from my old Fiat Dealer he had put in a Novitec Turbo and a Novitecc exhaust. The car was absolutly :D FABULOUS :D
I guess the Arosa and the Seic are in the same class. Although the Seic Sporting comes with an 1.0 16v, which gives 55BHP, after the modifications it had 110 BHP and it drove great even in sharp corners
At a traffic light I killed a BMW 318, :D
but if you want to spend that kind of money why don't you buy a Beeza Cupra? probably a little safer

I believe there was a 1.8T lupo(same as Arosa platform) at one of the Euro shows so it shoud handle the power with the usual precautions.

Do I know you, because these questions sound familiar?

Not much more power? The Lupo GTi is 125bhp and handles almost as well as a 106 GTi! The Arosa is the same platform, which is the Polo in turn, which is  the same platform as the Ibiza. You sure that 125 bhp is the maximum for an Arosa? :D

floor plans and finished items are way different, also, didnt know that the arosa was the same floor plan, the chassis is a bit shorter.
Lupo, Arosa, Ibiza... all the Polo platform. I think the Fabia might be, but not sure on that.
Lupo and Arosa dash is the same as the new generation Polo, should you need further proof.
Yes, they're different sizes, but the mechanicals and engines are all the same, afaik. So it's not unreasoable to assume that the Arosa will be able to handle almost the same power as an Ibiza? Obviously, it might be a bit hairy...
I read somewhere they're considering using the Arosa RACER as a, er, racer. And you think they'd leave it at 125bhp?
I dunno, I'm assuming alot, and shoot me down if you like... I really can't see any reason why the Arosa/Lupo can't handle 150bhp or more.

The Fabia is a new design which the latest Polo and new Ibiza is based on. A much better design than the existing Ibiza/ older Polo etc apparently.
