Sounds about right to me. On my Beezer MY03 the passenger door remains locked. If its pissing you off big time you can change the setting so that both doors are unlocked together.

:roflmao: I can just imagine your mate's trying to rip off the door handle. I have the same problem also and even my wife can't get used to it!!

I myself am not 110% sure of how to chnage the settings over but I would give "Flapper" a go as he is pretty quick on these things.

If you don't have luck I'll give me mate a bell and ask him as he changed the locks setting just after Christmas.

Watch that door handle :roflmao:

:roflmao: Join the club, yes it's quite normal ! My Mum's the worst - she just pulls the handle harder and harder until I shout at her... Have got into the habit of hitting the unlock button before her hand reaches the door handle now though !

we got given two keys, one with the remote locking and one without.

Much hilarity did not ensue, as without the remote locking key, you set the alarm off if you don't put the key in the ignition almost straight away....so himindoors is doing his best to get out of the habit of putting his stuff in the boot or back seat before getting in.

When we get round to it, we will have to get another remote-locking key for him. Anybody know how much this will cost us or, even, whether you got two remote keys supplied with your car???

You only get the one remote key as you did with new cars. The last time I enquired it was in excess of £100 for the complete key :thumbd:

ye - remote keys are a little dear but still cheaper than most

one door / all door lock function is set when unlocking- press remote again afetr door unlocks and all will pop open

using a std solid key - just unlock twice

IF you unlocked all doors then after anti hijack has locked and you have stopped it should unlock all the doors you opened to start - so if one lock opened it will only unlock that ONE again - clever aint they ;)

but - if all that is getting on ya mammeries

section 36 (central locking) the unit is recodeable

USE FUNCTION 1 FIRST - so you can read the standard code version for reverting back if required (code is on btm left CODING XXXXX )

and if you feel up to it AND/OR know what you are doing

Function 7 - Code Control Unit

Enter Code Number -

2DOOR

1 Door Open - 00256
All Door open - 00257

4DOOR

1 Door Open - 04096
All Door Open - 04097

once confirmed the control unit part number/version/CODE will be re displayed as same when you interrogated it in Function 1 (standard set) YOU DID LOOK DIDNT YOU :p

as always - if in any doubt - leave it and ask your dealer to do it for you
will take as long as it took you to read this thread if they have a man and a box handy
