Gearbox problems on 2006 leon FR

Has any other SEAT Leon FR owner had problems with gearbox?
Owned mine 3 months (three days after warranty expired grrrr) and all teeth broke off in gearbox.
Is this a common fault?

I know this is an old thread but my car is at the dealers due to my gearbox shedding teeth. Kept dropping out of fifth. Dealer drained gearbox oil and shards of metal came out with it. Gearbox is now out, but they don't have the tools to take the gearbox apart... Been without it nearly a month now... :(
