View Full Version : Bonnet lifters?
I've always fancied some bonnet lifters (like those things that lift the boot :D ) on my car, so now I think I'll try to get some.
Has anyone fitted them to a mk3?
Will it be simple enough? Any advice welcomed
yer about an hors job.use mk 1 golf ones they do the job nicely
anyone got a picture? or a link to one, because i want to know exactly what your talkingabout..
In fl@ppers signature, there's a link to his pics of his mk2. One of the pics shows lifters on his.
I fitted them to my old polo and they were great. i really miss them now actually!!

Sort Of a Pic (http://groups.msn.com/FLAPPERSPLANET/projectibiza.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=425)
seen em for about £25 somewhere - i'll have a dig around
hey fl@pper... whats the latest on your car? u got any new pics to upload?? wouldn't mind seeing it
gonna get in the weekend - take some more
powerplant is out - and fully stripped all in boxes :p
btm end rebuild this week if pistons/rings arrive in time
so wat are you drivin at the moment? and how long do you reckon its gonna take to complete? i'm gonna take some pics of my car soon, but my bonnet vent thing started to peel away at the front , becaus i didn't use enough glue, so that needs redoing, shouldn't take too long though.
could be and looks like mine
would do if a bit of common sense used fitting wise
Have A Look Here (http://www.swgmotorsport.com/asps/ShowDetails.asp?id=79) £29 delivered :p
NB - ones on mine you'll see DONT lift bonnet up THAT high - around 3/4 height i'd say but very handy if powerplant removal required
And Cus - as for time (god knows) got 101 other things doing as well and driving around in pool cars @ moment -rover metro tonite-Mazda 323 Gti 2morro
feel free if you are in Cheltenham Area - just bring some overalls
reading the description for the bonnet lifters.. i'm guessing that i can do this myself? without having to take it to a garage to fit..
