I have just got a 130TDi SE in P/ex for a 99t 110 tdi SE for cost to change of £12950. It has all sorts of interesting goodies goes really well. It also has 225/45/17 tyres on rather flash alloys. The spare is steel and has a 205/55x16 tyre with dire wanings not to exceed 50mph. This doesn't square with the "full size" spare quoted in the bochure. Have others got this too. It's a 2004 model with integrated radio CD rather than the earlier radio cassette with separate CD
My leon has full size spare on 15" steel rim as it's a 90TDi, doesn't mention anything about limiting speed with it fitted,

limited speed note is because its the space saver style wheel
But who has ever heard of a 205/55/16 space saver?
It has the same rolling radius as a 225/45/17 so can't have any effect on the diff etc.
Surely it has a speed rating on the tyre? Sounds like SEAT are being paranoid of an accident caused by slightly smaller contact patch / extra "sproing" in that size of tyre at one corner.
In fact - if the 17"s are a dealer option, this may explain why your spare is a 16" ~ this would of course be "full size" if the 16"s came as std (?).
Mik
hope you've still got mine tuck up resting ?? :D :D

Current brochure (and what I got) shows 17" as standard on 130 SE and not a dealer option. Vehicle's computerised ID shows it as a "SPORT" and if you look in foreign SEAT web sites you see model names such as Stella, Signo and Sport that are not familiar to us in UK

DITTO !
Are your colours matching?!?!
BTW both my spares are full size, but with no speed rating...
