Time to stop wearing those velcro trousers.. :)
Looks quite poor for the mileage though... :(
Mine are OK after 8000 miles and my old ones were fine after 15000.
I wonder what Ians look like at 42k!
You need a Remington Fuzzaway for them :)

I know and that's sad. Just wondering if there's going to be a hole soon... I was thinking about keeping the car like for the next 10 years or so!
I'll see how it turns out and will complain about it when the warranty period is about to end.
wouldnt say there would be a hole there
have you tried hoovering it ?
Mine were mint after 27.5k.
Try a razor (not a blade, the whole thing - Bic disposable will do). Seriously.

Mine seats are still mint and I'm approaching 30k.
They look pretty bad for a low mileage car !
I do wonder what kind of clothes could cause all that

Son,
I dread to think what you get up to for your seats to be that bad ;)
Mine has done 11,000 miles and look fine (apart from a stain where i dropped my KFC Hotwing the other weekend  )
Take it to your dealer and ask about changing the covers under warranty

If you will be keeping the car ten years then maybe some seat covers now would be a good idea..some are ok these days..

How about these?? Not too cheap, but look good.

I'm wearing normal jeans and such, so nothing special.
Anyway, I'll definitely ask the dealer to change them under warranty but not until the warranty is close to ending.
And if they don't, then I'll definitely consider the SEAT Sport covers but only after the original ones are worn out.
Thanks, all! :)
if you are gonna do a claim make it inside 12 months

Why? The warranty is 2 years and will end in late June 2005.

Umm, isn't it a bad idea to put covers on seats with side airbags...?

Not if the covers are designed with the sidebags in mind (don't know about the SEAT covers but I would assume, though).
And actually, mine doesn't have sidebags anyway.
Ians are prestine! They look like there new.
