Does anyone know what the stock part number for the stock filter is, well filters i suppose as there are 2. Also does anyone know if K and N or the like do replacements?

yes K&N do an induction kit that works on the MK3 1.4 buts its a VW Polo one that fits as same engine. Do a search on this forum as there are lots of post that list the part number.
Polo 1.4L 57-0406
If not try these 2 websites as just found that they do the same induction as i have and they are cheaper than i paid a few months back.

I'm not into an induction kit to be hounest, dont want to loose the torque the wee engine has, or the fuel economy, and i dont want a different noise, i just want a more free flowing filter that will in the long run save me money and keep the engine a bit cleaner so i just want to get a filter element replacement but cant find anything on the 1.4 engine for just the filter elements replacement. well i found stuff for the old 1.4 but not the newer one.

K and N got back to me but it was for the older, round filter type.
Says if i can give him a stock part number for the filters he'll have a look. Anyone got that thing that lets you look up stock parts?

I did order a peplacement filter from K&N Germany a year ago for my y2k 1.4sport 101hp ibiza and the item I got back has the code 33-2774. I fitted it in a sec and was running perfectly for about a year. I cleared it about two weeks ago (has done about 15000 Km) and it is again running fine :happy: :happy: .

Alright mate? Did you get 2 small filters? When i seach for that part number it just says its one thats 276x187 mm. I recon the ones i have are about 130x180 or so...

yes it is the 16V model. I can send a picture of my old filter to see the size and type. Just give an email address.
