Thought it might be a good idea for everyone to see who's doing the best deals for insurance on Leon Cupra's at the moment.
Mine is £520 per year. Standard car (not for much longer), 34 years old , full no claims, Fully Comprehensive private use only, clean license.
This is with Norwich Union direct

Hi Mark,
Yeah thats not bad considering all the mods and the area.... I'm lucky where I live as its got one of the lowest break in ratings for car insurance in the UK.... Didn't stop some little tw*t trying to nick the missus's Clio 172 the other night though. Still the dog heard him and made a racket and scared him off.

Blimey £830 at 23?????? Didn't think you'd get cover for under £1000 at that age for a group 16 modded car.....
Perhaps the insurance companies are starting to calm down a bit on modded cars.

My insurance is £700 per year for a standard Cupra full NCB at 29 years old with business milage, and I'm female which is meant to bring the cost down. However I live in Bedfordshire which I think is probably a dodgy area for car cime?
Dunno. What do you think guys? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cool.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cool.gif

£490 with Tesco. Full no claims with protection. 10,000 Miles PA.
Guess they think mature drivers like me (43) are a good risk http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
------------------
I believe i am paying £850 a year which seems very steep since i am 28 and have 6 years NCD, i think the mistake i made was insuring my wife as the main driver on the policy she is 27 and has only had her licience for 2 years so i think that pushed the premium up (unfortunatley i have a company van and only get to drive the Leon at weekends). I don't think the high premium had anything to do with me having 5 points for a CD10 but i was younger when i got them and very reckless, not that much really changes when you get older does it you can just afford faster cars http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif
What did knock £200 off the policy was to install an aftermarket CAT2 Immobiliser
------------------
£660 with Tesco in wife's name - she's 31 full NCD, no speeding, no crashes til she smashed up the V5 in July
Me, 33, 6 points, smashed up a few motors as well. It wasn't my fault, honest guv http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
High risk area and Tesco was by far the best quote I got last January http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif
Can't remember whether I got a discount for the Clifford...
If I'm the first Girlie in the Club, scuse the phrase, can I have "Number One Girlie" on my fleece? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cool.gif

Our leon cupra quotes ranged from £383-£1700!mind you thats for the wife (more no claims than me) The £383 quote was for 10,000m per year, which was too low for us,she changed it to 15,000 mls, so the final quote was £432 with "WHAT CAR" using Royal&Sun Alliance, thats lower than we were paying for the 8V Cupra two years back! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/eek.gif
------------------
Hi all, havent bought my leon Cupra yet... but my insurance will prob be around £1700ish, hopefully a bit less, thats for a (soon to be) 20yr old with no crashes and pretty safe area off street parking. And maybe with 3yrs ncb, assuming my insurance company gives it to me like they said when they insured me under my mums. at present i pay £1600 for a 1.8 Preg Golf GL.. which is for sale if u know anyone interested, only done 24000miles. but we wana leon.

Sorry for popping into the Leon topics, but the cost of my insurance for my beloved Ibiza Cupra is a whooping £1500, with full NCB (protected), garaged overnite, used for SDP (commuting). Although I did write-off my old car the day before picking up the Cupra (v.v.v bad timing) and I also have 6 points.
Still far too much money to pay out every year, TESCO wanted £1000, but I'd already renewed with my old insurer, Admiral. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif
------------------
Hmm, well as im sure some of you know im paying 1400 (1645 without Pass+) fully comp on my 1.4 Ibiza (97), but then again I am only 19 with 0 no claims.
Would you believe that was my cheapest quote?
Cheers
Martyn
