Does anyone use wheel spacers on the back wheels of the mk4 Ibiza?

Ive got a Fabia vRS, and presume its got the same wheelbase/track as the Ibiza 4 has (The Rear track on the fabia is 9mm less than the front)

Does having spacers on make a difference to handling?

any help/comments appriciated.

Can't comment from experience for MK4/Fabia, but on the Mk3 Cupra it greatly improved the rear stability.... even on stock suspension.

you heard it from me first.... :)

How much difference was there stock from the track width front/rear on the mk3?
The fabia is quite stable altho the back end squirms under braking.. but the electronics sort of sorts that out.

I might try some of these spacers for the Briskoda Track day... (i like the idea of stealth mods) :D

MK3 is 15mm difference rear to front.. Plenty of peeps with Mk3's running spacers and found a very pleasent improvment... for such a simple mod.

Squirming under braking will be reduced, but this is more suspension dive and weigth transference than anything.

What size spacers can you get?.. do i need longer wheel bolts for say 10-15mm?
How much will they be?

Longer bolts required yes.
Are Mk4's M12 or M14's? - MK3's are M12's

Available 5x100 spacers are:- 5mm, 8mm <flat ones>, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm <hub centric ones>

Prices from £26 to £60 depending on size.

Bill, what's the current price for the 20mm mk3 spacers?

I can't make up my mind whether to get some or not. I've got 10mm spacers on at the mo, which aren't wide enough. I take it 20mm is too wide if I decide to get some 7in wide wheels? (I'm currently on standard wheels, not the 17's)

On 7" wide rims go 15mm spacers...(hubcentric ones) - I run mine on 15mm ones on 7.5J rims no worries

Price inc bolts and inc vat is £79.10

I'm probably being thick as usual, but running standard wheels would I need 15mm spacers like you? If so can I get them from you Bill?

You could run 20mm ones on the stock 6" wheels, but if you're contemplating 7" wide rims at any point, you will likely fine 20mm is too much and arch rubbing will occur. Hence 15mm ones.

I have stock of 20mm and 15mm Eibach hubcentric ones and bolts (radius and taper seat, nuts or studs to convert also)

Bell me if interested
