Hi Peeps! Just brught a leon cheapish, i now no why.

The main problems are:
when i turn igniton on or start car the temp gauge will say my car is over heating after around 5 mins will drop back down to normal.

When i start the car it will rev and idle, although after a couple of minuites the car wont idel right and when i press the accelerater it revs up to 1300 and drops back down and keeps going up down up down etc..

Any ideas im dying to drive my baby!

Rob.

Sounds like it might be in "limp mode"

The only way to diagnose a fault with any degree of accuracy is to get someone to plug it in to a diagnostics computer. This usually costs 20 to 60 but is better than digging around your engine bay looking for faults that aren't there!

The temp thing may well just be a faulty sensor but the diagnostics will tell you for sure.
