Hi Guys,

I just installed new wheels 17' Superleggeras with 205-40-17 tyres, new KW variant 2 supension and brembos.

In the front I have 5mm spacers at the back none so far.

My ride is crazy at least 3 times worser then before when I had the standard setup.

I lowered it aprox 3.5-4cm and the front wheel rubs on speed curving. What is recomended drop - I don't want any rubbing.

Ohh and I didn't do the optic setup (I'm not sure how it is called in english when you adjust the wheel alignment) yet.

Could it be that the ride is so terrible because of no wheel spacers at the back and no optic adjustment?

When I move the wheel left and right at aprox. 100km/h the cat feels like if I had it lifted on a stick in the middle and rotated left and right. The same like a shity car with large-height tyres.

Any suggestions - I really need help. I would also really apprechiate if someone measures the diverence between center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender for front and rear. I forgot to measure the serial height so I'm not sure how to set both fornt and rears on the same height.

Thanks

you need to get it aligned

if it rubs on plastic, cut it.

Firstly you'll need to get the tracking and alignment sorted. The ride will be all over the place until you get this done. As you know I had mine done yesterday. My car is still a bit crashy and veers to the left. I'm going to get the tracking done as soon as techie returns from his holiday.

After this, if it feels to firm, adjust the dampers so a softer setting and you'll find the ride more comfortable.

and next time you do several mods fit em one at a time

makes it easier to figure out problems

sounds to me that you now need full alignment and setting up as it sounds too low

bet you didnt measure std height std wheels before fitting either ?

and as for spacers - they are mainly needed on the rear as its track is thinner - fit em on the front will make it worse

1 step @ a time young man - patience :p makes life a lot easier

I can't cut it, because then if would rub in the fender - well it is already worn out so it already rubs in the fender too - in the fender edge just above the wheel.

Flap:
The car is cca. 3.5 - 4cm lowered no more. Ohh and you're right next time it is better to do step by step. I also did measure my car when standard, but not on a totaly flat surface (stupid me I could us the garage which is flat) that's why I'm asking for the data.

Can someone measure the height in the fron and in the back from centre of the wheel up to the edge of the fender. Also the data from the serial suspension are interesting. Mine were aprox. 35cm in the front and 36 at the back when serial.

Are the wheels rubbing on the front, back or both? What offset are your alloys?

Currently they're rubbing just in the front. I don't have wheel spacers at the back yet. The offset is 37 (OZ Superleggeras 17' with 5mm spacers)
