Well, I stuck it all in and made a pretty good job of tie-wrapping and tucking away cables away from view. The Mic goes up trough the a-pillar cover (easy to remove) as does the tax disc aerial on the other side of the car.

Did not bother with a mute kit cos the Nokia speaker has evolved into one half the size it used to be.

Only problem is non-nokia based!

1. Soft-vol adjust on head unit mutes stereo with phone-cal but does not resume on end of call....weird.

2. 'Dashmount' provided mounting for phone holder does not fit. This is pending dashmount response to my digital 'proof' photos.

I'm going to make a bracket myself.

Any pics of the new nokia speaker?

I've just come to the same conclusion about the dashmount bracket for the leon it sucks the location that they put it in so I've got some bits of metal to fab my own up:)

I think there is something in the E Mark standard throughout europe now that your product will fail its emark if the volume just crashes back to it previous volume level after being muted from an external device. That was certainly the case with one of our units at work...

Can do a couple of digi photos of speaker on the morrow.

E-Mark eh? got that on some TRS 6 point rally harnesses.

Yes...Dashmount certainly ar not my favorite company. Seems like only one bloke deals with the mounts themselves and I'm thinking that they are not tested after prototyping....hence if the drawing are interprested incorrectly by the subcontractor who make the actul mount then mr customer is stuffed!

E Mark is a automotive accessory (electrical only???) version of CE Marking.

Any after market product added to a vehicle after oct this year has to have a E Mark! This was going to stuff the police over as they were going to have to get all the bits on there cars lights radio eetc etc approved. now there has been a change in legeslation that means old (non E marked) equipment can be fitted to new vehicles if it is second user. However any brand new equipment without an e mark fitted to a car has to by law have an e marking other wise the euro cops can come along and rip it out..

Thats the jist of wot I understood anyhow.. its completely un policeable.. :) and apparently in germany its even harsher regards to displays on stereos flashing etc etc anything that can distract the driver in a big way will fail its e mark!

mm I did wonder about dashmount:( I'm going to go for the same mounting pos as on my clio which is on the dash to the right of the speedo etc etc. well above the right hand air vent really. The fusebox has some handy screw in points for a long cunningly shaped bracket:) on the leon not sure about the beeza...
