View Full Version : Kiwi question
Hi guys,
Just signed up and have a question about Kiwi Yellow/Green.
Are there two different colours - Kiwi yellow and Kiwi Green, or are they the same and just referred to by the two names.
Does anyone know how many 16v Cordobas were sold in the UK in Kiwi (Green or yellow).
My background: Had a 16v Cordoba a few years back (R 275 BNV) which was Volcano Red and came complete with the Seat uprated suspension kit, AP brakes, sports exhaust and twin headlights. I loved that car but was forced to sell it to cover negative equity when I moved house. After a while driving a beat up Mundano, I traded that for a red Toledo Sport (not bad, but once you've tasted 16v power, 8v will never do...). I'm now in a position to give the Toledo to my wife and trade her D-reg Uno for another Cordoba (Hooray!). I've seen a few 1.6SX coupes in Kiwi (not sure if called yellow or green, but they looked more green than yellow) and I'd love a 16v in that colour. It's the same colour as one I parked behind at Michael Wood sevices a few weeks ago, which I believe was ScottyP's car. Nice rear wing Scotty- where did you get it...? If you know of one for sale - let me know on 01305 764243. Cheers.
as far as i know there is only 1 colour, kiwi yellow (paint code S6E)although my mate @ halfords has 2 colours listed ??
it is actualy called kiwi yellow, but it looks green and on the reg doc 4 my old 16v beeza was quoted as green.
hope this helps
remember seeing a cordi for sale in kiwi and it said in the ad "one of only 48 in the uk"so if thats true not many about .but i do see one often in shropshire with the f2 front bumper but never get the chance to speak to the owner.

did yer car have 17" multispoke alloys like TSW imolas or OZsuperT's?
if so i think ur cordy of one very much like it a few years ago in a Do-it-All car park in benfleet essex, it had the wrc kit, AP brakes, twin headlamps etc.
jason try halfords, most stores now have paint mixin facility and should b able 2 knock u up a can. if not ur local body/paintshop should also b able 2 help.
if my memory still serves me correct the paint code is S6E

KIWI GREEN is what ive always known it as, and have talked to my mate in seat dealers and he never corrected me so i dunno!! hehhe:cheers:
supose it's just 1 of those colours every person has there own name 4 it. @ work we've always called it kiwi yellow.
it's the same as artic grey. it's called that but it's silver (at least that's what we call it:) )
No, it had the standard alloys. The only body mods were the twin headlamps. I sold it to a mate and he hasnt changed it.

just get a metallic black pearl effect cordy and have done with it!!!!
It is indeed kiwi yellow (as noted in my logbook and on the colour list) and it comes in two variants - one for early cars and one for late I assume. We looked into this when matching the wing and bumper for my car.
Steve C - remember seeing your toledo behind mine in the car park now! - just come back from the rolling road day at cheltenham. My mate stuart can get the wing for about 150 inc vat. Phone SC Performance on 01823 325227 and mention where you saw it to get a good price. How much are you looking to pay for a cordy?
Cheers Scotty. I have a maximum budget of £7k.
does that mean i got something right 4 once :D :D
i didn't know that there was 2 different variants thought, very strange !!
i've only got S6E kiwi yellow listed @ work in the paint codes catalouge.
there is two vaiants of kiwi yellow the first type (mine)fades like feck and the second type (scotts) which doesn't .
when mines been in for spraying they take kiwi yellow and tone it down a touch so it matches but if you at mine properly or against a later model mine seems pale and faded:cheers:

Hey steve, you don't want kiwi, you want Cantabrian blue!!! A maximum of 4 were brought in in SX 2.0 16v. It just so happens that I am thinking of selling mine. I'd be looking at £7k for it but it's got a Clifford concept 600 + remote start, A kicking custom ICE install, which would be in the price. It's an R reg '97 with 43k on the clock, Full Seat history, but needs a service now.
