Mark is away, so it could be a code thing that he has to change.

It could be a V-Bulletin thing if not. US and Canada for example change there clocks this weekend, so could be something releated to that.

hang in there

(btw- you can change it in user preferences manually)

For the meantime, ive added +1 GMT then set DST settings to always on, that seems to get it to read right, as Andy says its either some code bug, or its a vB bug.

New version of vB is due anytime so im lead to believe, that may fix it, but will probably bring up a load more new bugs.

You can't win :p

How do bugs affect something as simple as the time ?

Well its set correctly here, yet its displaying the incorrect time, so that leads us down one of two scenarios.

Its a bug in the software or if it uses a time server to find out what time it is, the server is possibly wrong or unreachable.

Whatever the reason its out of our hands, ie a bug. :thumbd:

I thought the reason you didn't use this new software for so long was because it was decided it was now bug free, i know i kow - you need this hassle like a hole in the head, just curious :D

yer it was bug free until the clocks changed :D

This fixes it for me, so the time reads right.

GOTO USER CP >> EDIT OPTIONS ONCE ON THE OPTIONS PAGE, SCROLL DOWN THAT PAGE UNTIL YOU REACH DATE & TIME OPTIONS.

SET TIME ZONE TO GMT ( +1.00 hour) THEN BELOW THAT CHANGE THE DST CORRECTIONS TO ALWAYS ON.

That should then read the correct time, if it doesn't check your PC is the right time.

It is if you are relying on it to be right, imagine sitting in the office thinking oh i've got another 50 minutes of my lunch break left - then the boss walks up and says your fired for using the internet in office hours - imagine

Law suit on yer hands ;) :D

Theres no shame in saying we havnt got the skills to fix the clock. Just get someone in who knows what they are doing. :)

Nothing up with the settings on the admin page, they are spot on as they should be, all users have the ability to set their own time zones in their user options, so the question should be there is no shame in telling me you don't know how to set the time. ;)

The big hand points to...

SBF- Read the second message. Mark is on holiday, someone who puts in hours in on this site daily in his own time, so that you can then winge about it. Maybe your time would be better spent writing a product review or something for us?

Z- I'm looking forward to picking holes in SBF's product reviews or anything he does for the site......as if......other than winge of course ;)

Topic closed :D
