Yep:

Goes like funk
Great MPG (even when ragged)
Handles well enough as standard (better when strut brace is fitted)
Needs the chrome bits for the interior (see my sig)
Wheels are pants and a pain in the RS to clean
Looks - good from some angles, fat knacker from other angles
Good tunability - Revo/Jabba/AMD/Tuning box etc etc can give upto 190 BHP for around £300-500
Generally good spec for the money - climate control, TCS, great engine
Some small niggles about build quality - just genrally rattles though TBH

Hope this helps

It really is a very good car, quick handles well and very pradictably.

Apparetnly the Fabia has better build quality, to be honest the Ibiza does rattle alot. But nothing fell off mine.

I got about 45mph average with a best of over 600miles to a tank on 1 run.

You have to get it remapped, tuns it into a stealth rocket.

Understand that Seat are NOT the best to deal with, especially ther dealer service.

Biggest grip about the car i would say is paint quality, i had cracking on the C pillar, note Cracking NOT scratches of the paint. It looked like stress induced to me, pss due to flexing of the C pillar (worring)

Strut brack, people swear by them, everyone knows my views i dont think it made the slightest difference.

Tyres, F1 GSD-3 the turanzas are Pish, but last about 100,000 miles i swear mine were actualy getting more treat every month despite my best efforts!!

I actually dont have any major problems with rattles, the odd time I would hear a bit of a rattle from one of the air vents but most of the time its OK. I owned a 100pd golf before the Ibiza and I was getting a new rattle every week, it was cracking me up.

I switched from a Leon Cupra (petrol) to an Ibiza TDi Sport and don't regret it.

You get mega miles to the gallon
I've had over 650 miles to a tank :D
For a standard car, they don't half shift - terrific engine
Good spec level
You do get the odd rattle
Great value and low insurance group
It doesn't handle as well as my Leon did, but you can't have everything

Go on.. Sooty goes in AutoTrader this week if I have time...

He's a great buy, and custard yellow definately grows on you - plus you have a much lower chance of having some baffoon drive into you!!

i LOVE my new ibiza....and its arctic grey (silver) like the last one (bit of a 'common' colour, i think I'd have prefered black this time)

I've had it since February and I'm still grinning at the way it shifts when you put your foot down. it looks great, moves brilliantly, turning circle seems much much tighter than a mk2 ibiza too, corner handling like a dream...but the main thing is that you can go so fast, so quickly..... and so cheaply (fuel and insurance)

I really don't think you'd regret getting one (though perhaps Dormouse would disagree here)!

One minor gripe, back windscreen wiper wash jet hasn't worked since I got it, but will get fixed under warranty.. (do you have to go back to where you bought it or can you have warranty/service work done at any SEAT garage?)

dealers are very random - some seem good, others terrible.

Come to the dark side or eat my soot ;)

I got Dunlops SP2000 Sport on my TDI from new. They lasted about 12k. Replacement Conti Sport Contacts that VW Finance insist on (if you have a Seat SMT Contract) last about 8k on the front but who cares when you ain't really paying :D

Strut brace made feck all difference on mine. Few squeeks from trim but nothing major mechanical wise after 25k in 14 months.

True SBF.

If VW insist on soft tyres that die every 8k and they keep paying for the new ones, I couldn't give two hoots. The Conti's are pretty good for grip etc.

No. Bought mine in Holland, but get it fixed and serviced in Derbyshire ;-)

I've had my TDi Sport since December and apart from the odd rattle every so often i'm very pleased with it: it looks good, handles well, goes well and returns good MPG all that's missing is a touch of Revo!

I've had mine since November, done about 14000 miles in it, have moderately modded it, have expericenced its airbags ( see http://seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=32477 ) and I have to say its my favourite car to date.

Its fun to drive, comfortable inside, and good value. Its even not too expensive to tune it up, and make yours a little unique.

Indeed, I would have had one being a SEAT technician for some time.......If Skoda hadn't have brought out a better alternative :)
