well lads, springs will soon be sorted, new alloys to, f2 bumper, flappy flaps, zorst, decals, brake pads and discs all seem to be sorted, wing is ready to be painted and only lack of dosh is hindering that project,
what do you reckon should be next in line for uprating?
baring in mind that im not bank of england !
not going to run a poll as there are too many possibilities still.
though im thinking of either l&b flywheel or small ice upgrade.
if anyone has any experience of any other mods, fire away please!!

Get a big ICE upgrade!!!!!
On the subject, if I made some Cordy moudled sub boxes for say £90 for a single 10, 12" sub would anyone want one?
Pete
how about a race interior Brendy? ally flooring, two front buckets, cage? (you probably need one! :>)
or how about some throttle bodies - look at Bills site and drool for a while! :D

Never mind the Throttle boddies, if you start with a standard engine it would cost so much you might as well go 20vt power anyway.
But..... I have had a responce from Force one about the supercharger upgrade they do.... It costs £2600 + £400 labour + vat... The golf 1.8 16v gives 210bhp but that is because the fuel system can't cope over 5000rpm. The 2.0 16v has a better fuel system and so would be able to cope and put out much more...
They are currently working on an Ibiza 2.0 16v and are hoping for between 280 and 300bhp....
Cheaper than throttles or a 20vt transplant and gives HUGE power....

now your talking pete, give me more info pleaasseeeee , or at least a url, maybe not do it for a year or two yet , but that would be ace!!!gotta wait for the warranty to go first!!! cant see SEAT acknowledging the warranty after opening the bonnet to see it jampacked with alloy pipling!! hahaha
Scotty, the car would probably look ok stripped out but i ned the comfort cause i do a hundren odd miles everyday, sometimes more, thats why i ned a bit of comfort, and some sort of economy too!!!! supercharging is pretty good on the fuel as it throws more air into the engine, maybe slightly more petrol too, but dont forget its got Zero lag ...mmmmmmm zero laaag!!!!
very bottom end torque probably qwould still be bad, but once the superdupercarger starts working with the revs, i reckon you couldnt knock the smile of the driver with a baseball bat!!!!
imagine the look on a scooby drivers face as you let him get the better start and once you stop qwheel spinning lauch of past him!! hahaha

also, wonder what sort of torque that would produce!!

I think the url was www.force-one.co.uk. They don't mention torque but I'm guessing it'll be reasonably high... I cheakily asked if I could get a discount if I plster the name on the motor but got no reply. When they send me more details of the project I'll post it up..

Sh*t, they'd better not be local. It's only 10 miles up the road from me. We can't be having that, there are very few decent Ibizas around here, so mine is pretty unique. Perhaps those TBs will have to move further up my shopping list.
Which reminds me, I was going to pop in to Force One. It's just that I can't find it!

I thought you said throttles would need the head sorting + throttles + ECU etc.. ?
Pete
I'd say the TB route is probably cheaper, depending upon how much you get charged for fitting.
I got my head and cams plus fitting nice and cheap, so if I was to now go for TBs, it wouldn't have cost me 3000 pounds.
However, I'd be looking at about 200bhp, not 280-300. So with the supercharger you get more for your money. But what about, g'box, clutch, and engine mounts - would they hold out?

Well the thottle kits from billl are £2072. I'm assuming this is inc vat though..
+ head and cams which I have been quoted around £1k for the work, and £600 for the cams, plus the fitting and setting up of the trottles as well...
That lot comes to over £3.5k and that's if the thottle kit price includes vat....

Grant Motorsport did me Piper cams for 300 quid + 50 quid fitting. I already had a TSR Pack A head, so he charged 150 quid to "make it better". Call 01179 717107 and ask for Grant if you're interested.
Oh yeah, it says on his website 350 quid for a head.
If you want anything done by him though, be prepared to wait a while before you can get your car booked in.
Oh yeah, make sure he doesn't turn your car into a race car when your not looking too!
how much would the throttle bodies be with the engine work already done? (You may have said and I missed it, i've got a flu bug and can't concentrate properly!:( )

About 1900 quid for Lumenition bodies and ECU from Grant, though you would obviously have to check for yourself.
The DTA ECU/software has more features, but you may not necessarily need them. However, you may have seen a red/orange mk1 Golf on the PVW website which is owned by someone who works for Grant, and he's changing from Lumenition ECU to DTA. Have a look at it for yourself though, and you will see that it's leagues ahead of our cars.
