Right, I'm bored with no CD player in me car, time for the credit card to take another bashing I think. Being a lazy bugger I thought it'd be easier to ask you nice people for some advice - so, whats the easiest/best/only? way of removing the standard head unit from a 2.0 16V GTi Cupra? I'm thinking of replacing it with a mp3 playable headunit, any one used one? recommendations?

Thanx

I assume that's the old grundig unit (which was in some respects better than the new one). They come out with the standard u-shaped tool available at halfords....(boo, hiss). Just plonk one in each side push outward a little and pull the unit out.

Three Din's on the back. CD, Power and Speakers. They all have a clip which whrn pressed in, lets you pull em out.

The old grundig unit also accepts the ten CD changer.
