But to you it may seem that I have defected to the dark side!!! :starwars:

I've seen and fell in love with a VW Passat TDI PD 130 Sport (new shape)!!!
I gave it a good hard test drive and was genuinely impressed. It felt SO solid and even when I took it down a bumpy B-road there were no squeaks or rattles, and it was really quiet at speed. :)

It's done a few miles, but its only £9495 and its had FULL VW dealer service history, and is in mint condition. Its got sh*tloads of buttons to press everywhere too!! hmmmm...buttons!! It's also had some of the grey skirts & valances (like you get on all VAG cars) sprayed up so it looks very Audi S4! Its got a spoiler from a Octavia vRS aswell!

The dealer even said they would clear any scrubs, scratches of dings from the exterior & interior, but TBH, I couldn't fault it for a car with its mileage on.

Plus they offered me a good part-ex for mine, giving it 12 months MOT, 12 months tax, 12 months warranty

AND THIS IS THE BEST BIT!!! ;)

They've even agreed to get it chipped whenever I feel like I want it! Nice!

I am going to check it out one last time tomorrow, but I may very well say yes!

If you want pics, I'll see what I can do.

I'll still hang around these forums, as its got the same lump as the Ibitza, so I'm sure you guys will give me hints and tips like you have been doing. You've been great! :worship:

Glad you found a car you like...mate has a passat 130 too, and loves it - very spacious.

I believe you'll still be eligible for SCNSSC membership :)

Is it a VW dealer that'll chip it then ? What chips do they use ?

a friend is in the process of buying a A3 2.0 TDi Sport/DSG thing and his audi dealer offered a warranty approved chip...bit of digging around revealed this would be an ABT chip - like you have on your car...wouldn't be suprised if VW's is the same..

so the dealers are finally realising this opportunity to earn some more money from a popular mod!
