Just fitted my new set at the weekend (cheers to Evo performance, top service!)
Absolutely brilliant, had them on my 8v and they were good - not dissapointed at all on the 16v

Dropped it 50mm all round on 17's and it doesn't rub whatsoever, ride quality is as good as standard, but with much reduced body roll.

If you're looking at coilovers don't overlook these!

Scott,

It did look smart yesterday when I saw you, sat perfeclty on the rims you've got too. Smart looking car......

I guess the handling is much the same as Dan's (Your old 8v). Or do the bigger rims make it stick a bit better?

thanks, yours looked well smart too :worship:

the 17's make it a bit more predictable - you know when it about to do a 180 spin :roflmao:

How much did the set cost (and fitting) for your 8V? I have alloys to fit and want to lower the car at the same time.

Did you have to get the alignment and tracking sorted too?

fitted the suspension myself, with some help set up the camber. Will be getting the tracking done after its settled for a few days, shouldn't cost very much.

Evo performance are doing the set for £399 plus about a tenner postage.

£400. I'm such a tight ar*e. I don't want to spend that on the car as I'm planning to sell it next year, but at the same time I want it looking good.

What a dilemma.

Plus I'd need to cover fitting costs as I don't have the facility to fit it myself. Bugger.

OK, cool, haven't heard of FK before, where can I get the kit from?

Awesome, Performance Driven - there's a number of dealers - email them for a catalogue and dealer list and there's prob one your way in Kent or your side London.

I'm guessing that this is for a fixed drop, not a coilover kit? I got a quote of £359 from Gwent VW for the FK coilover kit, and fitting (with geometry and laser alignment) for £120.

Like the idea of being able to adjust the ride height... :)

Yep, they do a fixed kit (high-tec or sport or something), a height adj only, and a height/rebound adj kit (about £650 ish). These kits use Koni dampers. They do another Silverline labelled range and I think these are stainless steel. Also some bargain basement kits which don't use Koni made dampers.
