View Full Version : What is this and why is it making a crazy noise? (Video and Pictures)
I stopped at the traffic light, and a weird buzzing noise was coming from under the bonnet.
I have a seat ibiza 1.9 TDI 2003
I have absolutely no idea what it is or why it is making this buzzing sound.
Here is a picture of the culprit!

Here is the video (Just so I could get the sound)

No idea why its making this noise, but it happens now every time i'm in my car driving after 15 mins or so...
Any Idea

That stupid thing contains your N75 and the other one for the other thing lol, could be the relay inside it is buzzing but wether you can take it apart to fix it or not I've no idea.

Hi im new on this form.
I have bought a seat leon k1 stage 2+
has itg induction kit, bailey recirc valve, uprated fuel pump, full miltek exhaust inc 200 cell cat, revo switchable stage 2+ mapped.
I have noticed when i put it underload as in b in a high gear and put foot down
And once hits boost i can hear something fluttering @ around 3000
And then goes @ 4500rpm, all boost and power seems to b fine pulls like a train its just the fluttering noise i can hear. will only do this under load 3rd gear onwards.
I can go onto boost in 2nd and carry on thru the gears and wont hear nothin.
Not sure if this is how its ment to be or is there something needs replacing/adjusting??? Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks guys
ad0mw, that is your solenoid valve box. As Seatmann says, it collects all the pneumatic system solenoid valves into one place, serving them all with one vacuum feed and one electrical connector.
There are three control valves inside it, for the EGR valve, the turbo vanes and the anti-shudder valve. The other three connections are for the vacuum source, the vacuum reservoir and a source of clean, atmospheric pressure air (the air filter box).
Collecting them all into one place makes it difficult to determine what's wrong just by listening. Can you find someone with VCDS who will scan it for fault codes?
K1stage2+, spamming every thread in the engine discussion section with your cry for help will just piss people off. Ask your question once, starting a new thread with an informative title, and wait. You may not get an answer - it may be that nobody has had a problem like yours.
I'd suggest the Leon Mk.1 section of the forum, it gets a lot more traffic than this section. But you must start a new thread if you want your question to be noticed - attaching your question to the bottom of an unrelated thread is a very bad idea. I have no idea what you're asking about, partly because I run a diesel, and partly because I can't understand your description.

Nothing about not being able to create new threads (other than in the For Sale area). Indeed it would be pretty counter-productive to stop new members from creating new threads.
