see Here (http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/ibiza.asp?cat=ibiza&product=FMACVWG)

so does it serve a purpose rather than looking nice??

Well yes in that you (surprisingly) cannot just get an actuator should it fail, you have to buy a complete turbo!
this one can at least be used to swap a busted one out and does have the facility for different springs for pressure pre-load (I think)

so its ideal for people with busted actuators, it does say it can use different spring settings, but whats the idea behind that benefit wise??

bill on another note, what lower/rear strut brace u get after (i.e. what fittment?)

I don't have a rear strut brace mate... have a full cage instead.
Do you mean anti roll bars tho?
If so I run Neuspeed 28mm rear ARB on some adaptor brackets. (Autotechnik)
Golf II bar. From Awesome GTi Store.

Shock,

there is no point in getting a stiffer spring for the actuator (or stronger/bigger actuator) until your stock one is not set to its stiffest position... and if you feel that it is still too weak in its stiffest setting (which isn't in my opinion) then you may need/get this....

Setting the actuator to its stiffest will yield more sustained boost in the RPM range.

K thanks,

Actuator at present is in stock position, been toying with adjusting it but I know can have problems, what people reckon??

If you need some adapters let me know. I paid £20 for the ones from autoteknic, they are just 2 L shaped pieces with bolts through and they are a bit of a rip off. I made my own in the end from stainless steel and used stainless locking bolts. If you pay the postage I'll send you some.

adaptors?? Have i missed something?? Can be a bit thick at times

Well, my actuator is set to the ~80%. (Let's persume 0% is far from the brassy can and 100% is close to it). I dont think it would cause any trouble. After adjusting the actuator, you have to give the ECU some time to adapt (preferably on full throttle). I've also adjusted my N75 (which is not really suggested), now it spikes @1.2 bar (due to fiddling with N75) and sustains the boost (not 1.2 though ;) ) a little longer (due to wastegate adjustment). When just adjusting the wastegate, i've found that my spike was lower and boost came in later, that's why i adjusted my N75 too. Takes some time until you find the optimal position.

For the ARB?

And what do you mean by "can be" and "at times"??? :bleh:

putting an uprated actuator on allows you to run more boost as spring is more tensile and waste gate opens later.doing this youll also get a nice turbo chatter more like non anti lag wrc's
but will sound lovely:)

LOL you say that, but you did'nt come up with the idea tho did you!
Easy to copy... not so to innovate.. :thumbd:

the droplinks that attached the rear arb to the car i presume

LOL ARB and Wastegate actuator..

Yep the ARB drop links were the things mentioned...

Confusing tho is'nt it.

so in theory, your driving along the road and BANG goes your actuator  does your turbo go BANG with it..... no neeeeeed

And if this was to happen of course a K04 TURBO AND UPRATED ACTUATOR would give an extra few horses under the lid?

Just wondering?

Or, to quote Andy...

"The wife's 1.6 Golf is quicker!"

Although, he did have 10 minutes of fun last night when his turbo decided to work again...

might this item be of use to me?

i have the oettinger chip in my leon, and at 4000rpm i get major hesitation. when i told RSD they said they would adjust my wastegate... i never bothered taking them up on the offer

so might this actuator improve my situation?

just adjust your own but tbh u shouldn't have to do this, Sounds more like a mapping problem as the actuator if adjusted will cause overboost problems and limp mode. I think RSD adjusted Andy's Ibiza 20VT and it caused no end of problems with limp mode

Actuator's are set up in the factory,do not let Danny tell you otherwise ,i had no end of trouble when chipped ,although it did go a bit better when standard. He told me these are very often adjusted wrong at the factory!WTF :censored:  Andy

you asked what to use to fit the roll bars ! well they come with drop links and thats what i used and they are fine , just need to drill 2 holes in your beam

So are we saying that in essence this will not give a performance gain? I was told you can adjust the actuator and have read a few ppl on vortex do this and have gained a lump of torque....

Worth trying, Not all cases appear to have been as unlucky as Andy
