There is usually a lot of SEAT kicking on the forums, This is a praise the Lord entry.
I had the ESP light come on, and after checking this and several other SEAT pages, realised this is a fault that appears after a longish period, usually after the 4 year warranty. The ESP circuits were included into the ABS unit sometime 2005-2006, so a failure in the ESP unit means the whole lot has to be changed, expensive? of course.
BUT and here is a very big BUT
SEAT bless them agreed that despite my having had the last service at an indy garage, they would foot the bill for the repair in total. No cost to yours truly. I had to write to SEAT Espana, but they accepted the problem and have repaired the car. Hats off to SEAT UK, SNows of Poole, and the SEAT group.
Well done to them. ;)
