I have got hold of an italvolanti steering wheel for my ibiza cupra 20VT but the boss is for a '93 polo gt, does anyone know if the splines are the same or will i need a new boss?
any ideas would be greatful

Yeah it will fit straight on, all post 1990 VW based cars have the same steering column splines.
Have you got an airbag steering wheel at the moment?

Bear in mind that technically speaking, you need an explosives licence to remove and/or store the standard wheel as it will have an airbag fitted. Don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't fancy having the bag blow up in my face as i'm trying to undo the main wheel nut...

You have to disconnect the air bag and let the capacitor charge drop off - I think it takes about 1/2 hour. Storing it should be ok as it cant go off if there is no charge.
Dunno about an explosives licence?
