Rotten luck mate.

Stick to your guns and ensure they give you good money if it's written off.

Bad luck, but luckily that's only a minor one (IMHO).

Someone ran into my tdi (and the drove off without stopping) six months ago, the repair cost was £3000 but the insurance fixed it and its as good as it ever was, you can hardly tell its been fixed!

Good luck whatever happens though! :)

probably is a write off, but if you can be assed see if they'll sell you teh car back & give you some money - that's so easily fixable in a weekend

White van man wasnt by any chance 30 feet tall, circular, grey in colour and had a large yellow light on top?

They are called lamp posts round my way. ;)

Looks worse than it is... at least the wings aren't deformed!! Porbably won't be a write-off, but as has been said, easily repairable if it is!!

Hope your whiplash gets better soon!! ;)

That yellow one's on eBay too isn't it?

Bad luck mate, although as the wings look ok I'd have thought it was easily fixable. I.e. bonnet, bumper, lights, grill, slam panel and radiator? The 8v has a lot of empty space under the bonnet so I doubt if the engine got clobbered.

Oh, just realised, there's now atime limit on adverts on here. The thread has gone now. I'll try to find out from him, but may be hard as he doesn't post on here much anymore and I've lost his mobile number :(

Cheers Steve, yep, that's it!

The car is in mint condition all round. Nathan (the owner) spared no expense. He only had it a few months, but he had a scratch on the rear bumper and instead of respraying it, he bought a new bumper! That's how well he treated it.

He had new discs and pads fitted plus a new exhaust. He also fitted a 6 disc cd changer (which I gave him :)).
Thers's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It looked and sounded mint last time I saw it.

The reason he is selling is he bought a brand new Focus RS to replace it

For the money, I think he'd be better off buying a new car. Crashed cars are never the same again :(

Give me a shout cuprasport if you're thinking about Nathans car. I'll try my best to go look at it for you on sat if I can and if you're interested

They are going to fix it. There is no major structural damage to the car at all cosmetic. Sore the list of parts it spanned 3 pages of A4. Just the cost of parts I assume. Will have 2 wait 2-3 weeks to see what it is like to drive. Will keep you posted.

Result mate (I hope).

My insurance company have still not got back to me about the Cordy :(
Will have to amuse myself with the Skyline in the meantime :P

Can't wait to get the gal back though.....
Not sure if she will approve of my "overseas bride".
Might have to get a compensatory exhaust (she might get an inferiority complex otherwise)

Thats nothing, mine was far worse, well looks it. Cost me 900 to fix, then becasue it was lying about for 6 months 1200 to get the damn thing resprayed after some annoying little prats decited they wanted to write all over it with sharp objects!!!

Mine hit a strainer post on the left side, new bumper, bonnet, wing, had to get the chassis pulled on the left hand side, new intercooler(ohh mine was a TDi) new driver shaft, wishbone and a few other goodies. Was a right pain in the rear end I have to say, but all running good now, not a problem since!!

Are you planning on buying the car back? You could sell the parts, im sure you could get it cheapish?

Chris
