View Full Version : SEAT roof bars and Thule cycle carriers in aluminium

Here are pictures of my motor with genuine SEAT lockable roof bars and Thule cycle carriers, they were reasonable easy to fit and do look smart when fitted....

Roof bars are approx £120 and thule cycle carriers are £50 each

how easy is it to fit the bike jon?height restricted personages needn't bother or what?.
got the cordoba bars,looking for a rack,maybe a boot jobbie for us cloven hooved little people?

Easy for me jase i'm 6ft, mind you my racer is only about 18lbs a real light weight one...

Thing with the Thule ones is that you have to push the bike forward. The Atera ones you just angle up - easy for a 5ft 10 person.

The thule bike carriers are good. I too have the same setup. The roof bars are easy to go onto the car and the carriers simply slide into the bars. The bars are locked to the car, the carriers to the bars and the bikes to the carriers.

I have found the bikes need to be moved back a bit to get the arm into position and then push forward into the arm but I dont find this a problem. Bikes on and off v. quickly.

sorry for being stoopid here but...you get the 4 black bits and the 2 aluminium cross poles in the seat kit ??
