I am about to go on holiday for 5 weeks and am concerned about leaving my car unused for this long. Is there anything i should do to insure my car will be working when i return home or am i worrying unnecessarily?

Nah it should be ok. Think the worst you may get,is a dead battery but doubt it should happen. Not a big job if it does really. Enjoy the holiday you lucky sod!!

Do nothing. I went to new Zealand for a month last year and all that happened was I took it round the block to clear the rust off the discs

It's a problem if you happen to have the battery in the boot ! - the boot release is electronic.

You can still get in the car though. so not really a massive problem just a bit of a climb through.

Battery was dead when i got back and had to get it replaced. There was so little power the steering locked up and after 25 minutes the battery was giving really low read outs so had no other choice
