Just looked at the girlfriends ibiza as the rear washer doesnt work. after some detective work i found that when you turn it on you get a strong jet of water from down the side of the wheel arch on the passenger side, by the ecu. ( its a 1.9tdi 05 plate)
now without taking out the air filter housing etc i can see where it si exactly and what has happened - burst or joint broken. Any tips people before i start to take the thing apart? Wouyld much prefere to have whatever i need before i start!

Oh and while im here where is the diagnostic socket? I know in my old leon it was in the hole under the radio at the back!

I'm afraid I can't help, but I'm subscribing to this thread because I have the exact same problem. My car's going into the garage for its MOT on Monday so if it's not fixed by then, I'll get them to do it and try and get a report back for you.

Mine leaks too. Should hopefully be looking at it this weekend so if I get a chance (and you've not had any luck or time yourself) I'll try and write up my findings.

Most likely just one of the joints have come apart, it is an Ibiza trait. They all do it!
I went right through all the joints on the wifes car and glued the pipes into the fittings. I know, not a good idea if you want to get them apart again but I was sick of taking the trim out of the boot and they have never leaked since.

Found out what was causing mine - the joint had come apart on the pipework just under the air filter box. You can't actually get to the pipework with the air filter box still in place so you need to remove it. The split/joint is wedged up against the right suspension turret (or nearside front) under the brake servo so it's a pain in the ass to get to. You should be able to see the pipework going into the bulkhead - this is the pipe that's come apart!

Hope this helps.
