EPC Light on 2001 (y reg) ibiza

hello there

I have the 2001 Ibiza S (Y reg)
recently, the EPC light has come on - and it stays on:confused:
the performance of the car hasn't changed, and it still rides smoothly
there are no other lights at all

does anyone have an idea what it could be?
i have looked at all the other EPC light threads and they have shown up nothing similar to my light

maybe my car is special :blink:

i had problem with EPC 1 year, than i sovled this problem

at 99% is bad switch or contact on some switch

if u check on VAG 066 group and some time you press brake pedal (on vag must have 0011 when is pedal pressed) then u must see this mistake

hello

took it to the seat garage in the end
it was the break light issue that they seem to get
cost £65 in total - I did offer my right leg, but it was apparently 'not legal tender'

ah well - problem solved

My daughters clutch pedal housing collapsed. Its been replaced but the EPC light came on & after looking @ various forums I've changed both brake switches (blue & white) but EPC light is still on. I see there is talk of the switches working in unison & that the positioning is critical-can someone help me out on this please.
