Hey all...

Just a general thought I've been having and wanted to see what you all think..

I have a black cupra tdi with the AP calipers, standard alloys but powder coated gun metal.

Getting new discs and pads all round shortly and gonna paint the central hubs of the discs black to prevent rust blah blah... was thinking of also doing all the calipers in black too leaving just the lettering as it is.

May not look as lairy as the red but wont have to worry about fading red calipers

thoughts?

As you're asking for thoughts, why not go for something completely different.

You could strip the calipers back to bare metal and then get them painted luminous green. Should look good against a black car. You could then have the Seat Sport lettering either black or standard white.

As you say, just a thought though.

I think yellow brakes always look good on black cars. But not sure with the big AP calipers.

darkhose, what did you use to clean up and paint your calipers? Need to get mine done this summer as they're starting to go dull (and pink in parts).

Rub down with p1200 for smooth hammerite spray to key to.

Red looks best imo, but I think a nice blue could look good!
