Yes, the car is amazing..
and 60'000 Swiss francs, is about 2,5 times in pounds.. Something like 24k pounds !!!
well, it's a good car, but I'll prefer my modded and tuned Ibiza Cupra in one year ;-))) much more for the money !!!
The thing is, I can't find any infos about that car, even on Seat's Spain Site.....
Well, and if you guys want to move here in Switzerland, I might give you a hand... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

For all the UK guys, don't forget that the 59900 FF price listed will include all local taxes. Our Swiss friend can probably tell us what luxury car tax is in Switzerland. It's likely to be a LOT more than our 17.5 % VAT in UK, so you need to take the ex-VAT price and then convert into sterling. For comparison, a V6 RHD Leon (when it was available) was 44000 NLG ex. local taxes. (divde by about 3.6 to get into sterling, and then add VAT at 17.5%)
It's a nice looking motor. Strange how that www.seat.com (http://www.seat.com) makes no mention of the car either...?
Cheers

I love the sound of this car but I hate to say this...Switzerland ain't part of the EU, so will this have a bearing on the import procedure and taxes to be paid, i.e. could you even get it out of Switzerland without paying the local taxes in the first place?
Just a thought http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif
Maybe there is some sort of agreement in place with Switzerland....but where Customs & Excise is involved and taxes are payable...I doubt it

I own a Seat Leon Cupra V6. I've heard the rumors that somebody was working on a Leon with superchrager. The car that can be found on www.seat.ch (http://www.seat.ch) is not official from Seat. I think that the German tuners ABT tuned the car. It is nothing new however, because here in Holland you can buy a supercharger and a turbokit for a V6, but it costs between the 3.000 and 4.000 UK pounds.
But is must say, maybe I'm driving to the Swiss an going to make a testdrive, because I think it is great to have 76 BHP more than I now have.
------------------
Maybe this is a better translation:
Who would suspect that 280 hp lurk beneath the elegant black stylig? Once you have slid into the bucket seat, there's no doubt once you discover how quickly the 2.8 V6 24V engine, coupled with a 6 speed gearbox, reacts at all engine speeds. Backed up by four wheel drive, 225/40 tyres on 18" alloy wheels and adjustable sports suspension. And, to keep everything under control, there are special fade resistant brakes with engraved discs, not forgetting the luxurious interior with climate control, heated seats, electric windows, CD changer, trip computer and immobiliser. The standard safety pack with 4 airbags, ABS, EDS, TCS and ESP. Finally, to include you in the car's safety equipement, a free driver training course is included.
Click here to reserve your car online - deliveries start in November. (http://www.seat.ch/sprache_f/international/modelle/leon/reservationkompressor.php3)
It appears that you can buy a car in Switzerland without paying any duty (http://www.expataccess.com/switzerland/SwitzerlandContent/Import.shtml) but I don't now what taxation (other than 7.5% VAT) applies. That prices the car, including 7.5% VAT, at £25,070, or £23,320 + VAT otherwise. Of course, it may be possible to deduct more if there is additional, Dutch-style duty.
One problem is that this car would be subject to SVA as a non-EU, non-standard import if it cannot be delivered with a certificate of conformity. On the other hand, there can't be more than 50 people who'd actually buy a left-hooker over there so that's not *such* a big problem, even less so if you want a Dutch aftermarket kit.
