Right,

Just got my omp strut brace from SJB sport, might seem like a ****ing stupid question but, I take it you just drill into the the top - where the shocker is ?

I thought i would have had to take out the bolt on the suspension and then fit the brace over it and then bolt the bugger back on again ?

Brendy you got a brace right ? Does it affect the handling ?

Write back soon somebody as I need to get it fitted asap.

sorry ovv thats the only engine bay pic that developed properly before i got a digital camcorder,
there were a few modifications required for the strut brace to fit, some of the existing holes on the strut rings needed enlargening at one side of each bolt hole, asome of the screws coming up through the turrets can be shaved off as they are not used by anything, then simply drill small pilot holes and make sure its straight
take your time , took me and a mate 1 1/2 hours to do properly
also, the boot sensor has to be rotated round slightly to let it fit onto its holder.
performance wise , it does seem to make the front end more stable, lowering it etc seems to make it far better, im on standard shocks and springs at the moment and i cant push the car very hard cause its so damn soft, but as i said, with springs etc sorted it feels like you can throw the car into any sort of corner just that little bit faster, also tyre wear is supposed to be erduced too, but i shred all mine anyway so i dont think a strut is going to do much to help ;)

Got it fitted, took about the time you mentioned, me and my dad fitted it this morning. Did try fitting it yesterday, but made an arse with one of the bolts, didnt make the hole big enough and the head snapped off.
Handling wise, it is fantastic, mine cordy has been lowered by 40mm , so the strut brace really does make the front in more responsive. I used to think that the car was really floaty when you tried to push it into some corners, but now it really does hold the road.

Good mod for only £47.
