hi all.

well, currently we have a legnum vr4 (2.5 twin turbo galant estate)
this is a great bit of kit and can upset most stuff on the road.
-BUT-
after finding this forum and having a little look at the tuning options that are around for the diesels, we find ourselves realy interested in getting into 1 of these :)

a couple of things realy

are all the 2001 1.9 SE all 130ps with the 6 speed box?
i feel some how drawn to the six speed box (33 and still a boy at heart)

i have seen the pre 2001 models with a full bodykit on, but as of yet not even google can find anything other than a rather small rear spoiler.
don't get me wrong here mind.
i wont be driving through halfords window and hoping stuff gets stuck to it.
just looking to get a set of 17" wheels, a small amount of lowering and a kit.

most important though is a re-map

and lucky enough dynalynx (revo dealer) is only 5 mins away from me

have any of you guys and gals on here done any of the above.

all we have to do now is sell the mitsi and get looking for 1
cheers all

i seem to remember oettinger doing a very subtle yet effective body styling kit for the "bammer",road and sport developments in banbury used to be sole suppliers of this kit ,really dunno if they still do

edit to add my little google ;)

you could of course also look for ford galaxy and vw sharan seeing as they all steaks from the same cows arse.

cheers for the welcomes and the input guys.

i am still toying with the 20vt's aswell.
its just ashame that they only put the 150 lump in there.
i know a chip will soon change that, but if you start with more in the first place........

also
the post 2001 model - bodywork wise, is it fairly similar?
e.g. wheel arch extensions and side skirts?
i know the bumpers have been changed and a few other cosmetic bits but i still basically looks the same.

so guys what are your thoughts on petrol vs joining the sooty club?

you get the 20vt pewtrol Bammer & you'll be payinga morgage on fuel!!!

Get a PD & chip/or tun box it./. Thats what I have done... Looking at springs after its out of warranty..

Pr 2001 & post 2001 are completly different, post is more squared.. some angles look better on the older one & visa versa....

Go PD you wont regret it!!! & welcome to the forumn

thanks for the tips guys - but i am a traitor.......

just in the process of getting a toyota previa 2.4CDX.
i just a shame they dont put the PD lumps in the toyota's
prefer the shape of the previa but the PD lumps is tops
makes the toyota diesel look pretty pants.

and just to let you know there is even less tuning stuff for the previa than the alhambra.
in the u.k. anyway
could spend a fortune in japan though.
cheers guys

and if you see a silver previa cdx in your diesel alhambra's take it easy on me and i will try to keep up.

Hmmmm I went from an older Previa 2.4 GS to the Alhambra 1.9tdi...... Miss the larger boot, but not the use of fuel..... Hence I got the newer Bammer shortly afterwards...

Just wish the Bammer was the internal size of the previa (old type./.) New Previa not that much bigger in boot with rear seats in, well Okay you may still be able to put a junior bike inside the (new)previa where you cant in the Bammer ....

Enjoy...
