View Full Version : Spending the day with SEAT Sport UK
OK - it's confirmed now (I have the pass) This Saturday I'm going to be trailling the SEAT Sport UK BTCC Team & the SEAT Cupra Championship team for a 'Day in the life of...' kinda thing.
I've got a few idea's of what I'd like to do reportwise, but I'd value anyone's input whether it be pictures you'd like to see, mini interviews etc
I might not be able to / not allowed to do everything that's suggested, but heck - if you don't ask, you can't get.
either by email or posts on here... I'm not fussy.
Cheers
Mark

No no no! Like rhumber said - pit lane girls arses! :bleh: :roflmao:
Sorry guys, I'm not there for letching shots - plus I'm fairly sure they only come out on race day.
Will see what i can do jase - can't imagine engine shots being too secretive now what with the pit lane walkabout... but I shall ask.
Any more?
How about interviews with the Mechanics (Cupra Cup or BTCC). Might be an interesting insight rather than the usual Driver Q&A's.

How about asking how the BTC guys feel about the extra weight which has been added after just two meetings?are the super tourers better than BTC cars??cannot think Seat would bother the vax after such a small time.
lucky man - find out who builds their engines and what spring rates they use !
Cheers

you could also ask them where the fook is my chassis number, and how did seat balls it up so badly, imagine being able to put a vw chassis id panel onto a SEAT...hmm incompetant springs to mind, also how did they miss this during the several different stages of assembly.

yea you would say that... you are all out to get me!!!
good luck with your day and hope you get plenty of photos!
Needless to say it was one of the most interesting days I've had in a long time. Toured around the pits/trucks & support coach, free roam & allowed to photo anything.
Far too many pics to sort through & several pages of notes to write up - but I'll take my time & promise it'll be worth it.
Almost almost done now.
I need to edit down the words as the count is well over 2k
Will be doing a seperate more 'technical' article on the car in the week if I can find the time as it's too interesting to just include.

Its a good read, very interesting, hoping i can take a little peek myself on Saturday ;)
All typed up, just need to watermark a few images & get it's type approved, then it needs to go onto 3 or 4 pages.

Was it a bit 'flat' without Nell McAndrew this year? ;)
Nell (and Racing Rivals) was for the SCC not the BTCC Team, which I didn't get the chance to spend any time with.
So I don't know.
All up on the server now!
