I've done a quick search but cant find a definitive answer as everyone seems to have conflicting views, but what’s the best engine oil to use for here in the UK. 5W/30 or 5W/40? I've also read it has to be fully synthetic as the turbo doesn’t like semi synthetic, is this true? I'll probably keep changing the oil every 6 months or so.

I’m looking at either getting: Mobil 1 ESP or Castrol Edge
What are your thoughts?

BOth 5w/30 and 5w/40 will be good for the engine. Mines ran on castrol Edge 5/30 though according to some 5/40 should last a bit longer.

You won't need to change it every 6 months, with all the top ups you'll be doing it will be quite fresh... :)
