Does anyone know how far the tank lasts on a MK4 Ibiza tdi 130 when the electronic faul guage says its empty?
Just curious to see how conservative it is or not?
When i get the tank down to the last 10miles or so and fill it right to the very top i can get about 480miles. Depending on driving style aswell obviously

How much on average does it cost you to re-fuel from almost empty to full?

last night I did 42 miles from where I said 0 miles left, til I found an open service station.
Was driving like a granny over those 42 miles though.
Car took 47 litres of diesel. :o
most annoying thing is I'd only filled up the previous day - had done 490 miles in 24hrs...doh!

Running on Shell Diesel extra I got about 560 miles from a full tank (vent and brim every time) so i am pleased.
I am currently sitting at 480 miles and the light still has not come on.
I mainly do motorway driving so I dont know if this helps with the fuel consumption.

Usually costs me around £27 to fill the tank. But iam sure thats going to change thanks to diesel going up!!!
Managed to get 50.X litres last time.
Have a 1.4l 100hp sport and just filled 6 hours ago at my record a hair under 60L"(vent and brim every time)"!
I get about 300 miles outta my tank and it costs me £30-£35 per fill up. Good old beefa is loosening up nicely... ;)

I noticed a huge difference in consumption after 15K miles and after 3 tankfulls of shell diesel extra.
I now get an indicated 55MPG - 60MPG at motorway speeds.
