As I've mentioned elsewhere I'm on my 5th SEAT since the VAG takeover. It may be of interest to chart the dealer history, the common thread is the all did the deal to get my initial business but all lost it at renewal time 'cos they couldn't repeat.

1994 L reg new Ibiza CLD 1.9. Olfords of Plymouth, a relic from the old SEAT days, now a carpet warehouse.

1996 N reg new Ibiza CLS D 1.9. Parc an Creet of St.Ives, again a hangover from the old days but still dealers and an excellent family run business although I've had no dealings now for 4 years.

1997 P reg 2nd.hand Toledo 2L Sport. Ex Europcar hire car. Bryans of Wadebridge, now retreated back to Bristol, new purpose built garage taken over by local Ford dealer.

2000 V reg 2nd.hand Toledo 1.8S 20V. Ex Europcar car. Richardsons of Plymouth. Good dealership, glad to see them associated here, given every chance to supply me this time but freely admit that it's impossible to compete against imports in a lot of cases.

2002 51 reg new Leon Cupra 20VT. 1stopImports of Staffs. Had one ready to go, fair price for my Toledo, anticipate using them again, only gripe latest batch are £200 quid cheaper.

My Toledo was registered with the new local dealers, West End Motors of Bodmin when they took on the franchise at the beginning of the year. As my new car is the same reg I'm not anticipating any problems in changing my details although still waiting for a revised V5 that doesn't say 20V SE!!

T1 CHW used to be H10 CHW (still for sale!!).
