Hi guys&gals
After doing a lot of research and harrasing my local seat dealer for test drives on a variety of Leon models, I was finaly ready to place an order through an import company until that is I decided to check my insurance costs and since then I have been totally depressed.

I am 26yrs old with a (cough)CD10 penalty and my cheapest ins premium is £2040 thru Adrian flux. I have also tried Hyperformance, Tangent and some others who i can't think of who don't even cover imports what a f$%^ing nightmare (brought me right back to ground).

Anyway what i want to find out is if there are any specialist companies that you know of who might be able to beat this quote. I was so looking forward to ordering my Leon.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease HELP!!!!!!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/mad.gif

I'm afraid not, I'm with Adrian Flux because they're the cheapest for me.

What's a CD10?

Any car you buy within the European Union and register yourself, i.e buy the car in Holland and register in the UK, is to all legal intents and purposes not an import, just an EU car.

When insurers ask whether the car is an import they are referring to vehicles brought in from outside of the EU and must therefore have passed the SVA test.

Saying that some UK insurers do get their knickers in a twist if the vehicle you are insuring does not appear on their list, there are some models in EU Europe that we don't get in the UK, but they should still be able to do this.
