I bumped into a old school friend the other day, that i hadn't seen for ages, and got chatting about cars. He told me what he'd got on his and i didn't blieve him until he showed me. A Pace charge cooler, Dump valve, and Nitrous Oxide.
Having looked at the car the dump valve conversion was pissing oil all over the injectors, which he said resulted in him having to replace them a while ago. Presumably the reason for the oil is because the diesel is supposed to be a closed system.....Anyway.
The charge cooler seemed a good idea.
As for the nitrous, well, apparently its a special nitrous mix for diesels, but he reckons it provides quite a kick up the arse ,
But from what he said it only kicked in after 3000rpm, which then leads into the argument of over reving a diesel. All this said he reckons it would keep with an RS turbo to 60!!. Unfortunately the nitrous had run out so i didn't get a ride, however it was kicking out some serious fumes!!!

Basically any commments on this lot....

It was on a '98 Peugeot 306, so it was the older style tdi not the new Hdi.

From what I've heard, there is a company that does dump valves for the 1900 XUD engine (Peugeot/Citreon engine), although one has never baan made for the VAG TDi.

A mate has also read a report on Nitros diesels, and yes, appently it works quite well. The good thing is you get normal low end torque as standard, with top end power.
