hello, new to the site. in need of some sound advice.

iv got a year 2000 arosa, (am currently a student nurse so cant afford to upgrade to a new one yet......)

am wantin to put some spekers in the rear of the car, have noticed that if u pull the rear panel off, next to the rear seat, theres are two holes formed where a speaker component set cound go.

after speakin to my local (and shite) dealer (sheffield) been told that there is no such thing as a replacement panel with a speaker grill in it.
So whats the point of puttin the holes there in the first place?

wondered if anyone else had come accross this and have managed to get around it? if so how?

much scratching of head has taken place, still none the wiser.

cheers anyone!

rich :D

My girlfriend has a Lupo with no rear speakers, and to be honest if you're into ICE, you don't need rear speakers.

I'd invest your money in a nice CD HU followed by an upgrade of the existing front speakers, which if properly installed and sound deadened behind, should provide ample SQ.

Hope this helps but if you really want rear speakers go to Source in Sheffield and i'm sure they'd sell you a nice set to your requirements and even fabricate a new rear shelf to put them in.

The Lupo GTI has rear speakers, and all Lupo's and Arosas have the cut outs for mounting them behind the interior trim panels in the rear.. I would think it could be possible to mount speakers there and simply order the interior cards with the grilles in from the Lupo GTI
