a quick and potentially stupid question

hi,
going to be changing my standard aura headunit soon to my pioneer one but was wondering is it important to disconnect the battery before i do it? normally i would disconnect but ive literally just bought this car and worried that if i do then il end up screwing up the central locking or something lol

I never disconnect my battery to fit a stereo, if its a straight forward plug out plug in then should be fine ;)

Agreed, if you're using a plug and play lead then no problem. If you're wiring in a sub or the loom needs cutting then yes, but not if it's a straight swap.
